To minimize distractions and create a better learning environment, Satanta High School will implement a new cell phone policy beginning January 7, 2025. All personal electronic devices (including but not limited to cell phones, smart watches, headphones, and air pods) must be put away during the school day. (This is the current policy for grade school and junior high students. It now extends to high school students as well.) Thank you to families for supporting this change.

Thank you to the Satanta Area Arts Council for sponsoring Wichita Children's Theater performances for our students!

The Satanta High School Chieftain Yearbook Staff (Marlen Perez Munguia, Yahaira Puerto, Eva Loewen, Isaiah Manriquez, and Edwardo Mata) had a fantastic time in Philadelphia at the National Journalism Convention!
In attendance were 3,693 students representing 691 high schools from 50 states and eight countries.
The staff learned a lot about design, coverage, and incorporating live streams at multiple convention sessions.
The staff and their sponsor, Mrs. Courtney Dunn, also found time to visit 27 historical sites, tour the Philadelphia Zoo, race up the steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum, and spend almost four hours at the Philadelphia Penitentiary, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

This week SGS is honoring Mrs. Fischer, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math teacher. Mrs. Fischer is known for building relationships with students and using innovative techniques to help students learn and love math!

We will serve a Thanksgiving feast for our students and families on Thursday, November 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We would love to have you join us on this day to eat lunch with your child.

If you have students in both buildings and would like them to eat together, please notify the high school of your plans. Junior high and high school students can be picked up and signed out by a parent.
Please purchase tickets in the grade school office before the meal or bring exact change or a check. The cost for guests is $6 per meal. We hope you will be able to join us!
