We’ve had a great week with Artist in Residence Kim Brook, thanks to a grant written by the Satanta Area Arts Council. Kim taught daily art classes to grade school students. Check out displays of their work on Monday during the Thanksgiving dinner. She also led a Korean cooking class and a class for teachers on integrating art into the classroom. We will miss Kim, and we’re looking forward to seeing her again in March when she’ll be back for another week.

Twenty Satanta juniors and seniors attended Tiger Day at FHSU on Saturday, November 5. The trip was sponsored by Tim Dusin, Vanessa Medrano, Janis Grover, and Ryan Burrows. In addition to meeting with the admissions office, visiting academic departments, and attending a football game (Roll Tiges!), these students received Tiger swag and concession vouchers. One lucky student, Jaylynn Carbajal, even won a $1,000 scholarship!
