USD 507 is pleased to announce that we have recieved three awards from the Kansas State Department of Education. The district received Silver Recognition for our graduation rate and Copper Recognition for our post-secondary effectiveness rate. The post-secondary effectiveness rate looks at the number of graduates who earn industry-recognized credentials or successfully complete two years of college. The Commissioner's Award with Honors recognizes districts that outperform their predicted post-secondary effectiveness rate. A district’s predicted post-secondary effectiveness rate factors in the degree to which identified risk factors known to depress effectiveness rates, such as poverty, chronic absenteeism and student mobility, are present in a district’s student population.
