
The Haskell County Spelling Bee has been moved to the Satanta High School auditorium. It will be held Wednesday, February 12, at 1:30 p.m.


The FHSU Hispanic College Institute (HCI) is a free, four-day residential program at Fort Hays State University designed to help Hispanic and Latino high school students prepare for college. Participants gain experience with college admissions, essay writing, public speaking, interviewing, and financial aid applications while connecting with Hispanic mentors and leaders. The program includes campus housing, meals, and transportation within Kansas at no cost, plus opportunities for scholarships. The 2025 HCI runs June 4-7 and is open to current high school sophomore and juniors (GPA 2.5+).

More medals for the Satanta High School Forensics from the meet at Liberal High School today! Lauren Dusin placed fourth in impromptu speaking and FIRST in humorous solo. Her finish in humorous solo qualifies her for State competition! Deacon Hockett placed fifth in extemporaneous speaking. We're proud of these freshmen!

State bound! Congratulations to the Satanta High School scholars' bowl--regional champions with an 8-1 record! They will compete at the KSHSAA state championship on February 15 in McPherson.

The SHS Big Read winners were recognized tonight at the SPIAA basketball tournament, and the cheerleaders performed as part of the all-league dance.




Stephanie Anton was recognized with the SPIAA Lifetime Service Award at the league basketball tournament for her years of service on the USD 507 Board of Education!

Due to poor visibility, USD 507 will have a late start today (1-30). Classes begin at 10 a.m. No morning preschool. The girls basketball team should report at 9:30.


February breakfast and lunch menus


We have a full week of basketball this week! On Monday, the HS girls take on Minneola at 1:15 in United Wireless Arena, while the boys play Minneola at 1:15 on Tuesday. Remember that United Wireless has a clear bag policy, and league passes are not accepted. On Wednesday, the junior high teams travel to Pawnee Heights for make-up games. There will be a half B Girls game at 3:00, followed by B Boys at 3:30, A Girls at 4:30, and A Boys at 5:45. The high school teams will be back in action on Thursday and Friday, times TBD. Come out and support your Indians on the road!
