Satanta Jr.-Sr. High School is proud to recognize our food service and custodial staff this month. The cafeteria ladies have worked tirelessly to serve amazing food not only for students but also for different school-sponsored events. The custodial crew puts in many hours to keep our facilities sparkling. We have received countless compliments from visiting schools, out-of-town guests, and community members who have witnessed (or tasted) firsthand what this group provides on a daily basis. Our building is fortunate to have such dedicated and generous people in our tribe!

Great job, Indians!

Backpacks for Break/Mochilas para las vacaciones
We all know that the holidays can be an expensive time of the year, especially with kids home during break. To assist those who may need a little help making sure the cupboard isn't bare this break, a coalition of student groups at Satanta Jr.-Sr. High School has created a Backpacks for Break program designed to send food home with students over the holidays. If you would like your student to receive such a bag, please fill out this form. (Please note that the target for this giving is USD 507 students and their families.)

On November 22nd, the Satanta High School Cheer Team competed at the KSHSAA State Game Day Showcase. This is only our second year participating, and we’ve already seen incredible growth! While the team did not qualify for finals, they improved their overall score by an impressive 27.7 points compared to last year.
The cheerleaders dedicated countless hours before and after school to prepare for this competition, even choreographing a new Fight Song Dance to better fit the criteria!
Great job representing SHS, ladies—we are so proud of you!

The Seniors emerged victorious in today's Turkey Day Kickball Tournament. Runners-up we're the small but mighty 8th graders. The faculty and staff team went 1-2 on the afternoon. No ambulances were called.

New bus alert! This new Satanta activity bus will hit the road following the Thanksgiving Break!

We will start serving the Kindergarten students at 11:00 and will work our way to 5th grade. Junior high and high school students will be bussed over to eat at 11:40. If you have students in both buildings and would like them to eat together, please notify the high school of your plans. Junior high and high school students can be picked up and signed out by a parent.
Please purchase tickets in the grade school office before the meal or bring exact change or a check. The cost for guests is $6 per meal. We hope you will be able to join us!
